The GM line 6l80/6l90 has gained a poor reputation due to toque converter failure. Our tommy built line of transmission has upgrades built in. Most failures from the 6l80/6l90 can be found in the touqe converter, It isnt robust enough to handle the amount of time its locked and unlocked to adress shutter from the cyl deactivation that is programed on most gm trucks/suv. We start with a upgraded one peice lockup plate wrapped in a billet cover converter. All of the bellhouseing and pump are replaced when we overhaul and new non stick vavles installed in pumps. We also raise line pressure and vavle body will be upgraded with 8 check balls. All new clutches and seals with a new input drum with OE bushings are installed as well as a refurbished Techem. ON our 6l90 the 456 drump gets added clutches for better driveability as well as the 3,5,R.

Shipping/core policy
Fright cost on shipping to the lower 48 is currently 500$ We do reserve the right to adjust the price with shipping cost of “Going Rate” this cost will cover shipping the new transmission and the cost of shipping the core back, we require the core to be shipped back within 2 weeks of receiving the new transmission.
All cores are inspected for damaged such as broken cases, broken shafts, excessive hard part failures. CDT will deduct the cost of the broken hard parts from the core value, CDT dose not want to make money off of Damaged parts and will only charge the cost of the damaged parts to make rebuildable cores.
Whenever possible CDT will provide a core tag for parts/transmission that need to be returned for credit. Please do not assume that the core valve will not be given due to broken parts We do need parts to keep this going so send in what you have and we will assess any core value.
All cores checks are sent out twice a month please give ample time for us to process them.
CDT Return policy
Once A transmission has been shipped CDT will not accept a return unless one of the following
conditions are met.
Any idem must be returned within 10 days of receipt.
Valve Body, converters, and solioind packs(techem) must have previous tech support approval and a RMA#
Any parts sent back without a RMA# will be returned to the sender.
Parts need to be returned in the same condition they were received like new.
Parts must be unaltered dry and clean.
If parts are unused they are subject to a restocking fee.
